Another beautiful Friday today, and the new word in this week is Expect for the our round.

You want to expect good news not bad but what ever news you get may not be what you expect. Just like when I send out many job applications and I am waiting to hear can you come in for an interview and then when it is over you expect to hear form them for there answer and get none.

That just makes me think they dd not take the time to let me know thank you for coming but we filled the position, That is what I expect. :)

Please check out Five Minute Friday you'll love it.

Older and Wiser We Get (GROW)

Five Minute Friday (GROW)

OOPS Thursday OK I joined today but it was closing in a few:) Here's what I am going to share in 5 minutes.

I'm looking out the window to a gloomy yet warm day here in the West Coast dreading the coming heat. I notice that in the years passed I have grown to know more about myself. The habits I had in the past no longer with me, and where did they go?

I shoved them out the door and took the Adult status Oh My! this was a bit step. No more childless games and you know that when you toss all this out you are mature and more responsible on your decisions.

I never liked to listen to the elders in my family always telling me what is best for me, but you know when I got OLDER I know look back and understand what they were saying, I see young kids today and say if they only knew now they wouldn't be doing that.

I say many lessons learned down the road as I grew and still learning new ones:)

Living on a Food Budget $80 for a 3 Weeks

Living on a Low Food Budget

I always am on a food budget and most recently I seen that it was going fast and I usually put more into my food on the 10 of the month. I have $80 and I figured out that if I can live on a budget of $20 for a week till the 10th with no spending on any other foods as fast foods or order take out I can do it.

The best thing if your starting on your own or living in a dorm and need to save money for other things and not spend to much on food try $20 and see if you can do it.

The items I usually look for when I go into the market is store brand names or if I'm lucky I can find  the brand name on sale as you see here in my bunch. 3 more weeks to go next week I'll spend another $20

I have a few items here with the brand name but you can't pass up when they are on sale for $1.99 really excellent steal. I do have in my pantry Tuna, more cans of Beans, Rice, and more Soups specially the .78 ones that are Chicken Noodle just add hot always have great prices.

I always stock up on frozen dinners or side dishes or meats as well for 1.99 Ralphs is the place to go :) It seems like they always have sales.  I like to make a large dinner that way I can have left overs, the more you can make and save for a few days you can save more $ into your food stash that is what I like.

I know it may not be for all people with families but for single like me it is worth trying and once you set your budget and do it it gets easier to stay in that range, Oh my! I forgot the .99 cent stores has great deals as well:) just because it is a .99 cent store don't let that bother you if others laugh..You'll be saving not them...

Please let me know what you stock up on as well or do you have a budget and not go over.

13 Abbreviations For Cooking (Recipes) Book Review

I know that there may be a few out there new to cooking and don’t quit get the whole recipe language so I thought to write them down for you and make your cooking and baking more easier to get to.

Never have too much or too little to your recipes

Practice makes perfect when it comes to cooking. Don’t wait till your hosting a dinner party to try a new dish. Fix a number of times before hand so that you can tweek it to your satisfaction and so that you know how to time everything perfectly.

This is a great tip I got out of another book called Chick Living frugal and fabulous, by Kris Koederitz Melcher

I really like to check these books out at the library they have great info on budgeting, living alone and so many more great tips.

In back of book find out what should be,

Under your kitchen sink
In your bedroom closet
On your dining room table
In your bank account

13 Blogging Applications For You To Try

I have to tell you I have another book that I got at the library " Blogging All-In-One for Dummies" Now don't let the title fool you and say I know what I'm doing I don't need this book  like I did when I always seen it (laughs)

So the librarian told me she had only one book on blogging and I didn't know it was this one so I said Ok,  when she returned she had Blogging for Dummies. I though to myself  'Oh Great' the book I never wanted to read.

Well let me tell you I am still going over all the chapters and it  has so much information that some of the information I see on bloggers site for learning blogging is not there but in this book. I guess the saying is true Never Judge a Book by It's cover.

Author: Susan Gunelius, Author of Google Blogger For Dummies

If you would like great information on blogging this is the book, unless there is one I have missed please let me know. If more good information comes my way I will share it:) Happy Blogging
