The Books I Am Using for my Art Work

3 Books that I am using right now

These are good books that I am using for getting down and dirty with paints and other fun items that I find to stuff in them.

The first one is a Midori my brother also gave me that I can take on the go and create fun art in that book and then add the drawing to another book if I choose.

The second book I bought at Barns and Noble store for

Sketchbook (Basic Medium Spiral Black) $7.99

The papers are medium weight and perfect for from charcoal and pencil to light washes, this one I use for a smash book as well :)

The third book my brother gave me it is a Shinola Detroit smyth sewn binding lined paper, it is a small hard cover journal and the paper weight is 60 lbs and 196 pages the paper is good for medium media washes. I love to take this one as well on the go.

My Art Work Finished

My Art Work

I know I am a armature artist but I am loving it and it is so much fun.

I finally finished this up with adding a few cute embellishments. I didn't want to over do it the first time.

The image is inspired by an artist on line.

I really like using card board as a canvas, will have to try a real canvas next time :)

Mash-Up Cards for Mixed Media & Art

Smash Up Cards

Oh! my I can't say how many times that I have writers block and now art block, hehe, I have another favorite artist Pink Poodle Crafts. She has cool cards that have one word in the back that has to do with art.

She does have the printout that is free, I want to show you how I  put together real easy and these cards help me get out of the funk in creating.

your suppose to pick a few cards with out looking and what ever the word says you use it on your work:)

This is how my page turned out with only using 10 random cards, how fun.

Product Craft & Mixed Media Review

Mother and Daughter Art Work

Mother and Daughter

I am working on this fun art work and will turn it to mixed midia with pretty embellishments. So I am adding to it and I hope by this winter I will be done and updated it.

I am using card board from old moving boxes I had in my closet. I am using it as a canvas:)

Inspired by my favorite artist Suzi Blu Art  (use what you got she said :) )

Plain Mixed Media Backgrounds

Fun Backgrounds to Use For Your Projects

One of my favorite artist created fun backgrounds that I am using for my mixed media pages. I am sharing plain backgrounds that I made form baking paper. I am an amateur and still learning along the way.

I ran out of normal media paper so I thought to use baking paper I love the noise it makes.

MaremiSmallArt  her work is so wonderful and creative. here is what I made. She inspired me to try these plain backgrounds.

I know that I could of added more color to it, but I wanted it this plain as I am using it for my Midori inserts. You can make it bigger and use stencil as well.

I did use acrylic paint

Here is one that I use sketching paper with stencil and acrylic paint. So fun to use in projects.

The doll I made from inspiration of Suzi Blu and I had her in another journal and cut her out and placed her in here my new journal:)

If you have any ideas for new backgrounds please share so I can visit as well and get inspired.
